The Death of a Blog...

It happens every day. I fear it's happening here. Buuuuuuuuut I'm just going to chalk up my recent lack of blogging to traveling and being busier at work and having my brother visit this weekened and blah blah blah.

I'm going to Europe on Friday for 16 days. Upon my return, this blog will experience a deluge of activity... and will most likely die properly shortly thereafter.

Oh, additionally, I'm considering putting together a mix CD for my travel crew. You know, sort of traveling music or something. So far I'm thinking...

Iggy Pop - The Passenger
Kraftwerk - Trans Europe Express
Radiohead - Airbag or The Tourist
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
MxPx - Southbound (oh yes, I went there)
Tom Waits - Downtown Train maybe? I don't know
Bob Dylan - It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry

Anyway, that's basically just of the top of me ole noggin. Suggestions are quite welcome. Until next time...

  4. Jesus, dude... I like the first list, but Yusef Islam can eff himself for taking money from the FLips... even though the songs sound exactly the same.

  6. Yeah, certainly better than something like 'Stairway to Heaven.' But who are these "Beatles" you reference? Are they a boy band or something?

  7. Basically, the white version of BoyzIIMen. Obviously way ahead of their time when they still had to play those ridiculous instruments... Dude! Yusef Islam didn't take the money for himself! He's given his fortunes to a cause that he sees as important. Even though he's basically out of his rocker nowadays. Whether it was an accident or not it's completely obvious that Coyne totally ripped Father and Son which was a huge hit when it came out. Sometimes I do wonder if it were meant as a sort of quasi tribute to Stevens... newayz it makes sense that it would end up being one of the better songs on the album. It's perfectly sensible of Yusef to want a portion of the proceeds to go to the charity! Wayne is a little bit of a db n e wayz. He said shit about Beck! It's cool though that he acknowledged what he did; unlike Vanilla Ice's gangking from Queen. Coyne should also address how he totally nabbed Stevens' look. You didn't say anything about Audiovent... Dude! those punk-bitches are all about cop-ing Hoobastank's sound who, btw, are all about scraping up the leftover droplings of Incubus!!! But really, ya gotta put DSNIP on there. I thought Tomorrow Never Knows would be a good song for your time in Amsterdam. It seems like it would be a good song to listen to whilst enjoying "herbal essences." And sense you are on vacation you aren't supposed to know what's going on... Adventure!
